Marimo (also known as Cladophora ball, lake ball, mossimo, or moss ball) is a rare growth form of Aegagropila linnaei (a species of filamentous green algae) in which the algae grow into large green balls with a velvety appearance
 
They are super easy to care for and do well in a variety of temperatures and parameters. They prefer low-medium lighting and they can be rolled and moved around the tank with ease to prevent the side touching the substrate from turnin brown
 
You can use it in a fun way by cutting the ball into pieces and flattening it out to add to rocks and wood to make an interesting aquascape!
 
NOTE- This items arrives smaller then 2", but this is normal after being shipped. Squeeze it under water and allow it to fluff back up to its full size
